/ COVID-19

The world as we know it is changing rapidly because of Covid-19 and there is not a single person in this world who remains untouched by it in some way or another.

Coronavirus is a contagious disease that is caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Symptoms of COVID-19 are variable, but often include fever, cough, headache, fatigue, breathing difficulties, loss of smell and taste. Symptoms may begin one to fourteen days after exposure to the virus. At least a third of people who are infected do not develop noticeable symptoms.

It is very important for us to comply with all the rules and guidelines set up by the Australian government. These have been designed to protect us and loved ones from the coronavirus. The following are some measures that we can all take:

  • Good hygiene
  • Physical distancing
  • Staying home if you are sick
  • Getting tested if you have cold or flu-like symptoms
  • Staying up to date with the latest advice on the use of masks etc by SA Health
